Leland VFW Post 12196 will host a celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
All funds raised at this event will go toward funding for a new veterans and first responders Creative Arts Program.
Research has shown that through various forms of creative art, those who suffer from PTSD or traumatic brain injuries are able to rebuild their lives. Some of the forms of art to be provided include art, writing, dancing, acting, and music.
This is a coat-and-tie affair, with a sit-down dinner, music, dancing, and maybe even a guest speaker or two.Tickets for this event are $60 each and can be purchased through the QR code below. A table of 6 can be purchased for $330.Show your support for our veterans who need your help. If we can send them into war and danger, then we should take care of them with they return.
A plank owner in the Navy is a member of the crew of a ship when that ship was placed in commission. Be a plank owner of this program for vets and first responders in need.
All funds from this event will be used to fund our new Veterans Creative Arts Program (VCAP).
If you cannot attend this event, please consider donating to the VCAP. You can use the Make a Difference Flyer to donate.
If you know someone with PTSD, a veteran, or a first responder, this is an opportunity for you to provide programs for their benefit.
Reasons to attend/donate:
-To say thank you for the work the VFW has done to provide the GI Bill of Rights to all veterans
-To say thank you for your work on the PACT Act.
-Thank you for representing veterans in the halls of Congress at the State and Federal levels daily on behalf of America’s heroes.
-To say thank you for the $13 BILLION in veterans claims that were processed last year.
-To say thank you for the #13 MILLION in youth programs and scholarships last year.
-To say thank you for all the endless hours of community service that Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts all over the world dedicated to their local communities.
-and the list goes on.
But more importantly, keep in mind that over 7,000 warriors have died in battle since 2001. And over 31,000 of the warriors in those battles, who came home safely, have died by suicide. Creative Arts programs have a proven track record of attacking that problem. Please join us or donate generously.
I hope to see you all there.
