March 29 was officially designated National Vietnam War Veterans Day in 2017 as a way for Americans to honor and celebrate our Vietnam War veterans. Leland Post 12196 celebrated this day by holding a Commemoration Ceremony for Vietnam Veterans at The RiverWalk in Belville, NC, on 29 March 2021. More than 58,000 U.S. service members died during the Vietnam War and approximately 1,587 remain missing, according to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.
