The Leland VFW Post 12196 will be hosting a National Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 29, 2024 at 10 AM. VFW 12196 Leland, NC National Day of Remembrance

National Day of Remembrance – Sep 11th

On September 11th, 2023, VFW Post 12196 will sponsor the National Day of Remembrance at Leland’s Founder’s Park. Brunswick County Commissioner Frank Williams, Leland Mayor Brenda Bozeman, Police Chief Jeremy Humphries, and Fire Chief Ronnie Hayes will be among the invited guests and dignitaries. Brunswick BIG BAND will perform a 30-minute program of patriotic music.  The public is invited to attend and children are most welcome.  

Korean War Era Veterans Commemoration

This year we will host our annual Korean War Era Commemoration at Town Hall in Belville (63 River Road). The event begins at noon. Refreshments will be offered and the guest speaker will be Ret. VFW Post 12196, in conjunction with the Town of Belville, will host a Memorial Day Ceremony beginning at 9 am at the Brunswick Riverwalk at Belville. As part of our ceremony will place roses at the Veterans Memorial for deceased veterans. The public is invited to bring a rose and recognize their deceased veteran family members.
