To all VFW12196 members and the Leland public: Leland VFW Post 12196 Commander Jason Gaver has taken a leave of absence to attend a program of professional development. Sr. Vice Commander Gerald Decker will assume the leadership of the Post until new officers are installed in June 2022. During Commander Gaver’s time in office, the Post has grown by nearly 25% and has organized a number of local events, including a Korean War Veteran Breakfast, 911 and Veterans Day ceremonies.
The programs award more than $3 million to middle and high school students – April 13, 2022 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is now accepting entries for its 2022-23 Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen youth scholarship competitions.
